Why does this effort exist, and what’s next?

We are working to help connect groups working on the response effort in three stages:

  1. Awareness: Help people understand WHO is doing WHAT, WHERE
  2. Connect and communicate: Help people have conversations together to better understand what groups are doing, and what might be missing.
  3. Collaborate: Help different initiatives find opportunities to collaborate to improve response efforts on the ground.

What’s possible right now through Lebanon Data Response Coalition?

  1. You can search for organizations and filter yourself, or see sector views from the home page or the menu
  2. Groups can update their own profile, to try to keep the database as updated as possible
  3. Groups can identify as part of a coalition, UN inter-sector cluster, or other network, include simple relevant contact information on the top of each sector page
  4. Share organization updates to keep others updated on what you are doing

What’s coming soon?

  1. The ability to see groups working in each sector and in each area.
  2. Arranging online discussions for organizations working in different sectors, and then sector+location discussions
  3. Improved views for each coalition and cluster
  4. Improved posting of relevant news and events for the response initiatives and efforts
  5. Improved listings of the mappings and assessments that are taking place
  6. Basic vetting information about different organizations
  7. List of whatsapp coordination groups
  8. Improved listing of the terms used, to help other organizations use the same lists in their efforts

What are we missing? How can we improve?

How do you think this effort could be more helpful? How can we help improve the “Who, What, Where”, and the “Awareness, Communication, and Collaboration” of relief efforts?

Best wishes, from the Lebanon Data Response Coalition team
